Welcome to the Texas Income Protection Plan℠ (TIPP). TIPP is a self-funded disability income benefits plan for the Texas Employees Group Benefits Program (GBP) through the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS).

TIPP offers short-term and long-term disability coverage that protects your income by paying a percentage of your paycheck if you become disabled and can’t work because you are ill, injured, or pregnant.

TIPP is self-insured. This means the cost you pay for coverage goes to providing benefit payments to disabled participants and paying for administrative costs. The Plan’s financial health relies on participants using benefits appropriately and protecting the Plan against fraud.
